"The Tamworth Country Music Festival is officially declared open."

Bicentennial Park is where the Festival is officially declared open by Tamworth Regional Council’s Mayor with the raising of the official Festival Flag.
Line up includes O’SHEA, Felicity Urquhart, The Bushwackers, Bill Chambers, Harmony James, 2011 Toyota Star Maker winner Luke Dickens, 2011 Telstra Road to Tamworth winner, Harry Hookey, 2011 Southern Stars Australian Independent Award winner Ryan Sampson, and local Golden Guitar winners, Rex Dallas, Lindsay Butler, Lawrie Minson, Pixie Jenkins, Tracy Coster, The Crosby Sisters and Andrew Clermont, didgeridoo virtuoso Mark Atkins. Anne Kirkpatrick & The Travelling Country Band will join Joy McKean and Nick Erby in a special tribute to the history of the Festival and the integral part played by Slim Dusty and Joy McKean.
The entrance to Bicentennial Park is in Kable Avenue so bring your fold up chair or picnic rug and see the Festival begin in style. A great place to meet your Festival friends from all over Australia.
